My first Wedding

A few months back I had the pleasure of shooting "the cutest little backyard wedding, since I don't know when!" lol (I heard that in a movie once, and it just stuck...haha don't ask.) Okay back to the story, so this opportunity was actually the beginning of the new partnership I'm exploring with my camera. I got it just in time to shoot this wedding for some family.
Now keep in mind I haven't been to a wedding in years, let alone shoot one. So I was pretty nervous about it, I wanted everything to be as smooth as can be, given this was such a special day for Shane and Mary.

I'm pretty happy with the way it came out, I mean everything as a whole was a fulfilling experience, the wedding was a lot of fun, even my Violet was having a good time hanging out with everyone.

This was definitely an experience to remember, I learned so much this first day of shooting nonstop. I wanted to capture the moments that I could while the day was flowing. This is a lot of work for one photographer and one camera, so I give it up to those of you who do this for a living and do this on a constant basis.  Hope you like the few that I have right now, I just finally got my own laptop (woop woop haha) so many pictures haven't been uploaded yet.

Just a few to start...

It was such a nice day, the weather was definitely on point.

My two Violets, my babies.

Mary's bouquet was very elegant!

Black and white photos have always been a favorite of mine.

Congrats to the lovely couple!

The top of the cake, the lighting was so cool I'm glad I was able to pick up on the colors.

This one is probably my favorite photo from this day for two reasons. The way I captured the rays of light, (which I've never been able to do with my Powershot) and the way the energy circles their connection. In so many ways this one picture symbolizes the whole day and how I encountered it. Funny thing is, and you actually can't really notice but this is right after they smashed cake in each others face lol. Priceless.
